Despite the hard times in European aviation, social partners are committed to continue the dialogue on current issues at stake and establish joint positions when possible. At the latest Social Dialogue Committee meeting in Brussels, air transport employee and employer representatives agreed on long-term priorities and set the agenda for the coming two years.

ECA’s commitment to the Social Dialogue has also been strengthened with the election of Jon Horne, ECA’s Professional Affairs Director, as Vice-Chairman of the Social Dialogue. Together with the new Chairman, Emmanuel Jahan (Association of European Airlines), they will work towards relaunching the social dialogue between the partners. For the coming years, high on the agenda will be the follow-up and implementation of the conclusions of the ILO Global Dialogue Forum as well as the analysis of the phenomenon of bogus self-employment.
